A Mystery Clock by Junghans appr. 1900 with gilded spelter art nouveau woman figure supporting "mystery" swinging 8 day clock. In faboulous working condition. The gild is a bit thin here and there but overal in very nice condition. The colours of the roses on the wooden stand are very vivid. The clock keeps perfect time. The pendulum is what is called a compound pendulum, this clock is used as an example in the international dictionary of clocks on page 167. The porcelain dial has a hairtin crack going from the 5 over the center to the 10.30 position. That is the only thing that takes away from the beauty of this clock. She stands 13.75" tall and 5" wide and 4.25" deep. The reserve on this clock can be found in our online store.
